Cat = Night Demons
So I've been up since 4 something this morning. Usual had to go to the bathroom, but that is just enough to get the night demons aroused. From then on non-stop annoying noise! The cats must have found every loose scrap piece of paper ever dropped... and then batted it around the floor til I'd get up an take it. So I took away their fun so now it's time to get in the trash in the office or bathroom! Great! I'll just get up 4 or so more times. Then they moved on to the dresser. I thought I'd removed anything little an interesting off of it... but no... evidently a perfume bottle needs to be knocked over and pushed off. Not 5 min. later, a large set of keys (they've never bothered that in the week it's been sitting there). Dosing off... what is that now? A stampede down the hall! Great! On and on and on it goes. Oh, did I forget having to mess with the blinds so they could see out the window in the bedroom. There are plenty of other windows with the blinds partly open for them to look out of, but nooooo, has to be the bedroom or the room next to it so I can hear it really good! Finally had to get up to take the trash out anyway. Now that I'm up they look like they are ready to sleep. Think I'll go bug them. Two in particular need bothering... Tux and Idgy. Is there something more demonish about black and white cats? No idea... just want to go back to sleep.

I have the same issues with my cats. As soon as I turn in the ritual begins. First Noah jumps on the bed and hunkers down next to my face. As soon as he is comfortable and purring Abbey (my boxer/bulldog), who is under the covers knows (don't ask me how) that another is vying for my attention so she jumps off the bed, taking the covers with her, walks around to the other side of the bed and annoys the cat enough to jump to the banister behind the bed. The rest of the evening is on the bed off the bed as the two tango. Add to this Lucky, who us down stairs mewing pitifully and loudly because he is alone and well you got my night. :)
ReplyDeleteOh yes, been there done that!! LOL I tossed a half glass of water one time into my cat's face! oops! LOL The middle of the night and she just would not shut up!! I tried everything...cleaned her cat box, put out food, brought her up on the bed to pet. Nothing!! Kept meowing. So I calmly went into the bathroom, thinking "I'll give you something to meow about!", put a couple of inches of water into a glass, and calmly threw the water into her face. It was comical!!! I probably would have been rolling on the floor laughing if I hadn't been so irritated!
ReplyDeleteNow luckily though most of mine are getting old enough that they look at me strange if I stay up too late. "Mom, isn't it time for bed? Come on. See we're going up stairs to our beds. Sure you don't want to come too?" ROFL
